Now that the 2018 Vail ski season is over, we have some time to consider winter highlights as we get ready for summer adventures. As always, Vista Bahn Ski Rentals (VBSR) was buzzing and busy this season. Our friendly staff helped set up guests with ski and snowboard rentals, repair, and storage. And we began sharing more in-shop knowledge and expertise in blog posts this season on topics ranging from understanding ski types to ski tuning tips.
We have plenty of good memories from the 2018 Vail ski season to keep us inspired until the first snowflakes come down next fall. And here are a few highlights from the mountain and in the shop to keep you inspired until then, too:

2018 Vail Ski Season: Mountain Highlights
The snow was slow to fall this winter season, but that didn’t stop us from having fun. The holiday season at Vail was festive, with many frontside ski runs open. Little by little, the snow began adding up, and the President’s Day ski crowd made the most of solid coverage. The real Vail ski season highlights came, however, in the month of March. With several significant late-season storms, spring break skiing was at its best.
The Vail ski season also ended strong with several spring events that, when combined with great spring skiing conditions, let everyone experience the full joy of the Vail lifestyle. Pink Vail, the world’s largest ski day to conquer cancer, was held on March 24 and proved to be another successful fundraiser for patients treated at the nearby Shaw Cancer Center. The following weekend, Spring Back to Vail kicked off with a free concert at the Solaris and ongoing festivities. Other signature events such as the Taste of Vail and the Burton US Open kept us busy through closing weekend’s World Pond Skimming Championships at Golden Peak.

2018 Vail Ski Season: Shop Highlights
Having a friendly staff and happy customers were among our shop highlights for the 2018 Vail ski season. The VBSR team continues to include brother-sister duo Sacha Gros and Dominique Underhill as shop management and co-owners, plus experienced service and rental techs. The fun personalities and insider knowledge of VBSR staff came through especially in one of this winter’s blog posts: “VBSR Top Picks for Vail Adventure.” Favorite restaurant recommendations ranged from Blu Cow and Vendetta’s to White Bison. And we had to mention our mountain favorites that include grilling out on sunny decks and skiing Vail’s kid-friendly ski zones for family adventure.
We love hearing from satisfied customers about how VBSR makes your Vail ski season a memorable one. For this reason, we make it easy for you to review us online at the following locations:
It’s important to us to offer high quality service and repair services for Vail skiers and snowboarders. So it meant a lot to us that one Google reviewer said,
Broken board mid day? No problem! Affordable and friendly and QUICK service. Thank you!
One TripAdvisor reviewer from Chicago went so far as to list the things that keep his family coming back to VBSR each Vail ski season. These include:
1. Location is very nice—very close to the Vista Bahn gondola.
2. After reserving online (for a 20% discount), actually getting our equipment is very fast.
3. They offer overnight storage free of charge on rental equipment.
4. During they day, they offer storage baskets for a small fee.
5. They have dogs in the store. If you are a dog lover and miss your pets, these are nice substitutes.

Great to catch a ride to the slopes with Mama, Dominique.
See You Next Winter at VBSR
We want every guest to have best experience possible with ski rentals, online gear reservations, and storage next to Vail’s Gondola One at VBSR, and we look forward to seeing you again next winter. Until then, keep your 2018 Vail ski season memories fresh by checking back for monthly updates during the off-season. We’ll be giving an overview of mountain upgrades, ski pass options, and more on our blog this summer.
